Hey, "Arrow" fans. The time has finally come for the season 5 finale to take place. It will air next week. In it, we're going to be seeing Oliver assemble a very unlikely but powerful team to take on Prometheus and his equally powerful team at some point. This will result in what they're calling an epic final battle! We have the CW's latest episode press release to thank for these new storyline spoiler teasers.

'Lian Yu'

They also revealed that the producers decided to name this installment "Lian Yu." To get this official plot summary started, they revealed that the team members that Oliver will get to join him in the fight against Prometheus include Deathstroke (guest star Manu Bennett), Nyssa Al Ghul (guest star Katrina Law), and Merlyn and Digger Karkness (guest star Nick.

E. Tarabay). They made sure to add emphasis by putting this in all capital letters. There's no doubt that this will be the main storyline for this episode, especially since they don't actually mention anything else. It's all about this big battle.

His own super team

They also reveal that this epic battle is set to take place on the island of Lian Yu. Oliver is going to make the decision to assemble a super team to join him in his battle to finally defeat Prometheus. That's when we'll see the all-star characters that I mentioned earlier. Will they be able to get this difficult task done? Or, will things still not go Oliver's way?

The CW didn't give us an exact answer, however, they did reveal that this isn't going to be a walk-in-the-park for Oliver and his super crew.

The reason why, is because we're going to see Prometheus gather his own super team. It's going to feature The Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy), Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin) and Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig). To cap off their description, they tell us that these two super teams are going to collide and deliver up an explosive ending to this season.

Possible cliffhanger situation

Which team will ultimately prevail? That's definitely the big question for this scenario. Something tells me we might get a big cliffhanger, because the show has been officially renewed for season 6. The renewal came early, too.

Additionally, we have some production credits that reveal that Jesse Warn directed this episode, and that it was written by the writing team of Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim. We can also tell you that this one is set to air next Wednesday night, May 24th, 2017 at 7pm Central Time on The CW. Stay tuned.
