On September 7, Katy Perry will begin her highly anticipated "Witness" tour in Ohio's capital city of Columbus. The tour is in support of her upcoming album of the same name, which will be released on June 9. The tour will make stops in over 40 cities throughout the United States and Canada.
Fifth album from Katy Perry
"Witness" is Katy Perry's fifth studio album and her first new release in nearly four years. Three songs from the 15 track album have already been released, with the first coming out last February. The first single, "Chained to the Rhythm" hit number four on the U.S.
Billboard charts.
Her second release from "Witness" was titled "Bon Appetit" and featured Migos. The song came out on April 28 and didn't do great on the charts, but fans still seemed to like it. "Swish Swish," featuring Nicki Minaj, is the latest release from Perry's upcoming album and the song just came out on May 19.
In order to promote her new music, Perry made appearances on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." She will also perform on "Saturday Night Live" on May 20. Her "SNL" appearance will be the singer's third time performing on the show.
Perry's last album, "Prism," came out in October of 2013. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a new album from the artist, and the tour will most likely sell out in most cities.
