Beyonce and jay z are now considered the first hip-hop couple who passed the $1 billion combined net worth. In Forbes’ recently released list of America’s Wealthiest Self-Made Women, Beyonce is number 46 with $350 million while Jay-Z is ranking number two in hip-hop richest act with $810 million.

Currently, Jay-Z or Shawn Carter in real life, 47, is just $10 million behind P Diddy who is on the number 1 spot with $820 million and a bit above Dr. Dre with $740 million. There are some forecasts that among the three hip-hop icons, it is going to be Jay-Z who will first land on the $1 billion mark.
This will be possible if he will sell his stake at Tidal, his own streaming music service.
On the other hand, Beyonce Knowles, commonly known as Beyonce, 35, grossed a quarter of a billion in her “Formation World Tour” and album sales. It was a big contributory factor for the aforementioned number 46 spot, which is just a few spots behind Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion.

Jay-Z has an entertainment company named Roc Nation. Aside from music royalties and sales, the hip-hop artist also gained $200 million from the deal with touring company Live Nation. Mr. Carter’s streaming music platform has a value of $600 million, the $200 million of which was invested by Sprint in Tidal.
Among other businesses of the music, mogul is the Roc Nations Sports and the champagne brand Armand de Brignac.
Meanwhile, Beyonce has an investment in Tidal music service. The R&B diva owns Parkwood Entertainment Company that caters services from filmmaking to fashion to artist management. With all the hit albums, concerts and world tours, the singer also ventured in some movies.
Her recent album “Lemonade” did amazing on the charts and her Formation stadium tour did an exceptional ticket and merchandise sales with a total of $256 million in the US as well as in Europe.
Back in 2013, the Carter couple was already dubbed as the first pop music billionaire couple. However, during that time it was still premature because their combined net worth hasn't reached yet to a billion dollar, though the Mrs.
Carter Tour of Beyonce with H&M collaboration and the 40/40 clubs of Jay-Z earned major bucks.
