Amber Portwood's fiance, Matt Baier, is seen using a gay slur against her brother, Shawn Portwood, during a sneak peek at next week's episode of MTV's "Teen Mom OG." However, the shockingly inappropriate comment isn't quite enough to end their relationship completely. Instead, according to a new report, their wedding is simply "on hold."
As rumors continued to swirl in regard to the couple's potential split, an insider spoke to E! News and confirmed Portwood and Baier's wedding, which had previously been scheduled for this October, was no longer happening.
"For the time being, [Amber Portwood and Matt Baier]'s engagement is on hold," a source said. "They are working on their relationship."

According to the insider, Portwood and Baier have been through a lot in recent weeks, including numerous online stories that have allegedly added extra pressure to their relationship and made their romance "difficult." The outlet also said that while they have been open about their struggles, it hasn't been easy navigating their relationship while under the "heavy scrutiny" of the media and the many viewers of "Teen Mom OG."

Portwood and Baier became engaged in March 2015 after dating for several months and earlier this year, the reality star and mother of one told E!
News she was expecting to marry her fiance on October 10, which marks "the day we met in person for the first time." Unfortunately, things between the could have been heading downhill since then.
Despite their apparent issues, Portwood and Baier are said to be hopeful things will eventually be "fixed."

In a sneak peek at next Monday night's new episode of "Teen Mom OG," Portwood is seen informing her fiance that she doesn't want to elope in Las Vegas because her brother wasn't in agreement with the idea.
In turn, Baier took aim at his would-be brother-in-law and labeled him a "f****t." Baier also told a producer that he wasn't going to allow Shawn to dictate his life and proclaimed that he no longer wanted to marry his reality star fiancee.
