Actress Gal Gadot admits that Beyonce helped her get in the right mindset when she was being auditioned for the Lead Role of “Wonder Woman.” According to People Movies, the 31-year-old star is playing a warrior in the forthcoming standalone film.
Director Zack Snyder selected Gadot for the main character of “Wonder Woman” when she was being auditioned for “Batman v Superman.” First, she was asked to do a camera test. The filmmaker was looking at all aspects, including her body language, style of walking and face expressions. Gal Gadot was selected from over eight girls who were asked to stay outside the office for several hours.
Gadot says it was tough for her to wait in a long queue, and she was losing her mind. So, the actress made a call to Beyonce who motivated her to stay there and don’t get depressed. The young lady eventually stood up and began dancing just to lighten her mood.
Gal Gadot in two different roles
This summer, we will see Gadot in two separate roles. In “Batman vs. Superman,” she is playing the wife of a famous businessman who gets frustrated when the husband decides to save people from the criminals. In “Wonder Woman,” Gal is playing a warrior who has supernatural powers as gifted by Greek Gods.
The former beauty pageant first decided to quit on “Wonder Woman,” but later Beyonce motivated her to accept the challenge.
She was pregnant with her second child in those days, so it was not easy to continue. But the beautiful actress still managed to play an influential role and looks forward to fans’ responses. Also, Beyonce recommended her to go on a strict diet. She joined a gym, took regular kickboxing classes, and underwent a diet. She practiced different martial arts and gained over 15 pounds of muscle for her character.
‘Wonder Woman’ – an anticipated film
“Wonder Woman” is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The story revolves around Princess Diana of Themyscira. The character first appeared in “All Star Comics” in 1941. William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter have penned the script and dialogues of the movie. Diana Princess is a nurse who moves to South America to earn a living.
She starts working as an army nurse and later as an Air Force secretary. Gadot plays a powerful lady who doesn’t back down from a challenge. Early gossip linked actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Rachel Bilson, Megan Fox, Nadia Bjorlin, and Catherine Zeta-Jones to the role of "Wonder Woman."
The film is directed and produced by Ivan Reitman and is scheduled to be released on June 2, 2017.
