"Jurassic World" will return with a sequel,after gaining more than $1.6 billion in box office sales: "Jurassic World 2" is less than two years away from its release date, which is slated this 2019. Our first official look at the much awaited "Jurassic World 2" happens to be in their official Instagram account account which revealed a new character as well as some old creatures, bones to be exact.

Jurassic cast

The official photo features a Triceratops and Raptors as well as a young girl who was revealed to be a 9-year-old girl named Lucy. Although there was no news yet on who the actress will be, rumors states that Lucy will be one of the central characters of the sequel.

As we all know, children are playing a big part in the series. From the Murphy siblings, Tim and Lex of the first installment up to the Mitchell brothers of "Jurassic World," children are key role builders as well as people saviors in the dinosaur series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jeff Goldblum will also be returning to the land of dinosaurs after the 1997's "The Lost World." Goldblum will reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the next sequel. Will we be seeing Dr. Malcolm chasing after the dinosaurs again in "Jurassic World 2?" Although there is no official news about what Malcolm’s role in the next movie will be, or if he will place as a big character as well, by looking at the recent photos from the film’s official Instagram account, Dr. Malcolm might be dealing with fossils and raptors once again.

If the rumors are true, the next movie will be all about Jurassic War. After pushing hard to turn the raptors into Weapons Of War, Vic Hoskins will have his vision turn into reality in the second installment. After stating that the dinosaurs will be a great tool and weapon of assault by the government, how will the dinosaurs turn into weapons of war in the next movie? Does this mean that the lives of humans are already at stake? Based on the interview made by Jurassic Outpost with director J.A. Bayona, "Jurassic World 2" will bring a different flavor. He doesn't think that bigger, better dinosaurs and bigger, more epic-in-scope action sequences are what people are looking for from the franchise, and what they love about the films. Chris Pratt also added that the next film will be more suspenseful and scarier.

"Jurassic World 2" will hit the American theaters on July 22, 2018. However, the film will be shown in United Kingdom and other parts of the world on June 7.
