"Jurassic World 2" won't arrive in theaters until about a year from now, but already, some tidbits about the highly anticipated sequel have arisen thanks to the film's star, Chris Pratt. The actor is currently busy doing rounds to promote another sequel to the blockbuster hit, "Guardians of the Galaxy," and naturally, reporters have asked him about his other big budget projects.

The "Parks and Recreation" alum shared that the upcoming "Jurassic World 2" will be "darker" and "scarier." The upcoming film is directed by J.A. Bayona and written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.

Chris Pratt praises director J.A. Bayona

The actor had nothing but praises for J.A. Bayona, who inherited the film from the first film's writer and helmer, Colin Trevorrow. Bayona is best known for his work on the 2007 horror film "The Orphanage" and 2016's "A Monster Calls," which starred Sigourney Weaver, Felicity Jones, and Liam Neeson. Bayona also directed the 2012 drama "The Impossible," which brought together Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor, and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" breakout star Tom Holland.

Pratt told Screen Rant that Bayona is "a remarkable filmmaker" who is "really visually masterful." The director is now lending his skills to "Jurassic World 2," which Pratt describes as "scarier," "darker," and "unexpected." While production is keeping mum on the plot of the highly anticipated film, fans and movie-goers can expect to see the return of Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, and B.

Chris Pratt's strict diet

Seeing that Chris Pratt is now a movie star, he's adhered to a strict diet to enable him to keep up with the physical requirements of his roles as Owen Brady in "Jurassic World 2" and Peter Quill (Star-Lord) in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." The 37-year old often takes to Instagram for a miniseries he calls "#WHATSMYSNACK," in which he pokes fun at his diet.

Pratt recently posted a video of him jokingly attempting to binge on a bag of tasty Doritos before changing his mind and opting for something healthier instead.

"Got something today that I don't get to eat often: Star-Lord Nacho Cheese Doritos.

Haha! Can't wait to dig into these!" he exclaimed before saying, "Yeah, I'm just kidding," he admitted sadly. "Got any chia seeds or anything?"

Chris Pratt stars in the James Gunn-directed "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," which opens on May 5. The film has received positive reviews from those who saw the recent special screening. Check out the teaser below for more.
