HBO once again dropped a new photo that hints how intense “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will be. The new snap revealed how enraged Drogon, Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) dragon child, was in the middle of what-looked-like an epic battle.

This, too, gave fans the first glimpse of how enormous the dragon will be in the seventh season. Aside from revealing Drogon’s look, the photo also showed the super settings of the show’s production that will surely take its viewers to another level.

Drogon’s enormous size

Daenerys is evidently fulfilling her “ancestral destiny” to rule her dragons while the fighters on the ground are trying to fight the smoke and fire Drogon is blowing. According to Entertainment Weekly, which obtained the new snap for “Game of Thrones” Season 7, the image just represents a single sequence from the many intense scenes that are about to happen in the upcoming new installment.

The show’s director even revealed how huge Drogon is now in the television adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s “The Song of Ice and Fire” series. “The dragons this year are the size of 747s,” director Matt Shakman told the publication.

However, Drogon is considered the biggest of the three dragons because of his flame that measures up to “30-feet in diameter.”

Where are the other dragons?

As HBO gave a glimpse of Drogon, fans might be left wondering where the other two dragons are. Huffington Post reported that the new photo might just have been revealed to highlight the new size of Drogon and the absence of Viserion and Rhegal.

In fact, there are swirling rumors that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) are riding the other two dragons while fighting on the epic battle. However, fans should only take this assumption with a grain of salt as HBO has yet to confirm the claim.

The beginning of an end

Meanwhile, Iain Glen, who plays the role of Ser Jorah Mormont, revealed in an interview with EW that the script of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 has the “best seven episodes” that have written by the showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

“The story is going toward a conclusion,” the 55-year-old actor said. He also added that it now feels like the seventh season is really the beginning of the show’s ending. As fans will now see his character’s return, he described his storyline to be about his survival or death from the infectious disease he has. The much-awaited new installment will be released in July on HBO.
