After a lot of assumptions regarding who would take the role of Cable (Josh Brolin) in “Deadpool 2,” a new actor is about to step into the shoes of Wade Wilson’s (Ryan Reynolds) new enemy. The “X-Men” character Black Tom is said to be joining the next installment of "Deadpool" as the main antagonist that will definitely make his life harder. There are swirling rumors that the role will be played by “The Strain” and “Baywatch” star Jack Kesy. However, according to Deadline, Marvel has yet to confirm if the rumors are true.
New villains' special powers
Some sources strongly believe that Kesy will indeed play the role of Black Tom in “Deadpool 2.” The “X-Men” character is described as a mutant who has the ability to “manipulate, bond, and project energy through plant life.” He can control plants to use as a weapon, and also, a shillelagh explosion. He can do this by using biokinetic energy to create concussive blasts. He also has the ability to change his appearance into a plant.
Moreover, Black Tom’s partner in crime is Cain Marko -- Juggernaut. Hence, it is now a big question if another mutant will be joining the Merc with a Mouth in “Deadpool 2.” Although, according to Games Radar, it is not likely.
Miller teases a new storyline
Meanwhile, in an interview with IGN, T.J. Miller talked about his return as the bartender named Weasel and Wilson’s best pal in “Deadpool 2.” In preparation to reprise his role, the 35-year-old actor revealed that he is watching the first movie again. He said that he and other stars will start filming in August and September.
The “Office Christmas Party” star also unveiled that he will have a scene with another memorable character from the first film. Karan Soni, the original movie’s cab driver, and also a returning character, will have a possible storyline with him. "There’s a pretty funny plotline between him and Weasel,” he said.
However, he is not yet sure if it will ever be seen in the sequel because he hasn’t read the whole script yet.
Although the film’s writers are still working on the screenplay, the things that he has heard will be happening are already making him laugh.
The movie sequel will be directed by David Leitch. Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapacic, and Brianna Hildebr are all returning to reprise their roles as Vanessa, Colossus, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Marvel also confirmed the coming of Zazie Beetz as the mutant Domino. “Deadpool 2” is said to have a release date of June 1, 2018.
