According to a new report from the Soap Central folks, it's been confirmed that actress Lindsey Godfrey is not going to be returning to reprise her role as Caroline Spencer in CBS's hit soap opera "The Bold And The Beautiful" after all. Apparently, there had been months of speculation as to whether she would ever return after she left late last year around October 2016. There was some speculation that she might have had a health scare or something that kept her off the show.
Killed that rumor
However, she killed that rumor by hitting up her official Twitter account and writing that she is just fine in that department.
So after that rumor was cleared up, another one surely followed which claimed that she had been downgraded to a recurring castmember. We still don't know if that was true at the time. What we do know is that in March 2017, the executive producer, Bradley Bell, did lead everyone to think that Lindsey would be back in action by saying that we haven't seen the last of her character, Caroline.
It's possible that he meant that she might come back via a replacement actress because Lindsey recently spoke with the guys over at Soap Opera Digest and told them that she's definitely done for good. She said that she had a heavy heart about it and is very grateful for the time that she got to portray the character.
She thanked her fans for being so patient during this time of her absence and revealed that she got a lot of love and happiness from her experience on the show so that's lovely.
Very proud
Oh, wait a minute. It didn't end there. She also said that she really loved and admired the people she got to work with. She was very proud of the work they did and the stories they told.
Neither Soap Opera Digest or Soapcentral had any details about why she got the permanent cut from the show. They just said that for now, she is currently very busy trying to land another gig somewhere else by auditioning and so on and so forth. She did say that she's excited to see where her current career path is going to lead her next.
New work
Lindsey portrayed the Caroline Spencer role for 4 long years before getting the shaft. The good news is that it does look like she has already found some new work. According to her IMDB profile page, she has a future gig on a short that is titled: "Our Last Day as Children." She's also going to be in another short called: "Broken Strings." Some of her past credits include roles on Disney's "Wizards Of Waverly Place," CSI: Miami," "Cold Case," CBS' "NCIS" and CW's past hit drama "One Tree Hill." She's definitely no stranger to landing some pretty serious gigs. Hopefully, she'll land another one. Stay tuned.
