Audiences waiting to see Philippe's impeccable filmmaking

Philippe Falardeau, the young Canadian filmmaker, has directed acclaimed movies in the past including, "My Internship in Canada" and "The Good Lie." Known for his uncompromising cinematic language, Philippe is expected to showcase his elegant Midas touch in "Chuck," and the newly released trailer is an evident example of his mettle.

It is loaded with immense fun and energy, and the video indicates that this movie too, just like other Sports movies has those adrenaline rushing moments, fall from grace and the inevitable rise from the ashes.

The film also marks the second screenwriting outing of Schreiber; the first one being "Everything is Illuminated" which was released in 2005.

Witness Chuck Wepner's most happening life

The life of Chuck Wepner has all the ingredients demanded to make a blockbuster film. He started his life as a liquor salesman, and slowly emerged as a heavyweight boxer, and in his career which spanned over a decade, he endured 313 stitches and eight broken noses.

His life outside the ring was more dramatic, as it is loaded with drugs, booze, women and moreover unexpected highs and extraordinary lows.

The life of Wepner is the sole inspiration behind the creation of "Rocky" movies, but Sylvester Stallone has never agreed on it.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 83 percent, based on 14 reviews, with an average rating of 7/10. On Metacritic the movie has a score of 71 out of 100, based on 8 critics, indicating "generally helpful reviews".

The movie will be released on May 05, 2017, and if it gets a full release, it will lock horns with Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2". The film will also be screened at theTribeca Film Festival in April 2017.
