Scarlett Johannson was the first major female superhero to take front and center in the new world of comic books, making her debut as Black Widow in "Iron Man 2" and becoming an important part of the "Avengers" movies. While out promoting her new movie, "Ghost in the Shell," Johannson dropped a spoiler for the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" movie and also made an interesting comment about the complications of the huge sprawling storyline.

Black Widow to meet Guardians of the Galaxy

It looks like the next time Marvel Comics fans will see Scarlett Johannson as The Black Widow will be in "Avengers: Infinity War" At the recent press junket, she dropped the minor spoilers that she will, in fact, be in that movie and will get to meet the Guardians of the Galaxy.

It had already been announced that Batista and Star-Lord will be in the movie, but it sounds like the entire Guardians group will be in the movie and she specifically talked about possibly meeting and talking to the giant tree in Groot. Johansson said that talking to a tree is no problem as long as the scene feels true to her. She also said that Black Widow has seen just about anything and won't have a problem accepting the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel Comics movies are incomprehensible

Scarlett Johansson did seem to take a little swipe at the Marvel Comics universe in the interview as well. When asked about the way the movies are different than when she made her debut in "Iron Man 2," Johansson said that the entire universe has expanded so much that it is almost incomprehensible to her Scarlett said that she has just reached the point where she accepts things and just figures that something is happening.

When The Black Widow made her first appearance, there was Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America. However, now there are alien superheroes in the Guardians of the Galaxy and a sorcerer that proves that there is more than just superheroes and villains to worry about. Things have escalated in the Marvel Comics movies and it might be a little much for non-comic book readers. Johansson still wants to make a Black Widow solo movie but with the current lineup, there is no telling if it will ever get made.
