Family-friendly TLC isn't above overlooking pedophilia in the interest of ratings, it seems. "19 Kids and Counting" was pulled after the Josh Duggar sex molestation scandal but the Duggar family is back in "Counting On." And now, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" which was unplugged over a pedophile, returns. It can't have anything to do with the WEtv series on Mama June Shannon's weight-loss and plastic surgery, can it?

TLC airs 'Honey Boo Boo' again

Everybody wants Mama June since her 300-lb weight-loss, even the reality television channel that kicked out "Honey Boo Boo." TLC (The Learning Channel) prides itself on family values, and Shannon's hookup with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel did not fit their image.

The mom of pageant queen Alana Thompson denies rumors but was caught in other lies. Shannon's ex "Sugar Bear" Mike Thompson admitted to cheating and LGBT hookups. The couple (although never married ) went on WEtv "Marriage Boot Camp." That and the pedophilia turned TLC off. But now, TLC is bringing June Shannon and family back.

TLC lured by 'Mama June: From Not to Hot' success?

Folks are asking why TLC is airing "Honey Boo Boo" again but the question is rhetorical. Since June Shannon's wildy popular reality television show "From Not to Hot," she's a hot commodity. She may have been too hot for TLC to handle but WEtv has thicker skin. When the network announced it would chronicle her weight-loss after bariatric surgery, folks flocked to see if Shannon could beat obesity.

Her jaw-dropping makeover with breast implants, skin removal plastic surgery and tummy tuck drew in gawkers and fans. What's pedophilia in the face of all those lovely ratings?

Reality TV fights for piece of Mama June, Duggars

Neither the Duggar family nor Mama June Shannon can lose for losing. None of Josh Duggar's sex offenses -- child molestation, cyber-cheating on Ashley Madison, real-life adultery, a porn star mistress, incest -- was enough to see Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar off reality TV for good.

The sheets had barely cooled on "19 Kids and Counting" when TLC brought Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald (two of the sisters Josh molested) back in "Counting On." Shannon was livid that TLC dumped her and not the Duggars. But now just because Mama June went "From Not to Hot," TLC welcomes "Honey Boo Boo" back, child molestation notwithstanding. Because, let's face it, sex draws viewers in. And if sex sells, perversion and deviant sex run a cartel.
