Cheryl Burke isn't competing for the "Dancing with the Stars" Mirrorball trophy this season but she will be working just as hard in her new role on the Lifetime reality series "Dance Moms." After competing for 19 seasons on "DWTS" (and winning twice), she will shift gears and take over for Abby Lee Miller who recently left the show in the midst of the seventh season.

Back in 2015, Abby Lee Miller was indicted on charges of concealing her income from performances that took place on the Lifetime reality TV series between 2012 and 2013.

Not only was she charged with concealment of her income, she was also charge with bankruptcy fraud after hiding approximately $755,000.

Cheryl's in, Abby's out

According to a report from ET, Cheryl will appear in the final four episodes of "Dance Moms" season 7. Abby quit the show last week but it didn't take long for Lifetime to find a replacement and start filming again.

A source tells ET! that filming for the last four episodes (Season 7) of "Dance Moms' will start on Wednesday, April 5 but there is no word on whether or not Lifetime will renew the series for another season after filming wraps.

Hopefully, fans will give Cheryl Burke a chance and the show will get the green light for Season 8.

What's next for Abby Lee Miller?

The 50-year-old dance instructor pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud in June 2016 and now she awaits sentencing. There is a possibility that she could serve up to 10 years in jail but Miller told ET that she's trying to stay positive ahead of her upcoming hearing.

Abby states that she is trying to stay "positive and happy" in spite of the possibility that she may spend some time in prison and jokes that she may need "take a few months' vacation." Hopefully it will be months, not years, in jail because it certainly won't be anything like a normal vacation.

At this time, there is no word on when her sentencing will take place. Miller revealed that she was supposed to appear in court on Feb. 24 but the hearing was canceled and the court has not announced a new date yet.
