"Days Of Our Lives" fans officially can look forward to the return of one of daytime television's most beloved soap characters, actress Alison Sweeney, best known as Sami Brady. For 21-years Sweeney has played Sami Brady, that one Brady family member that you have loved to hate through each and every one of her exciting and unpredictable storylines.
'Days' fans thrilled to hear daytime faves are returning
Soap Digest announced that Sweeney will be returning to her role of Sami Brady DiMera for an extended visit. Sweeney will make her return to Salem in May and stay at least throughout June, just in time for sweeps.
Fans would love to see Sami Brady return full-time, but anything is possible in the soap world, as dedicated fans are well aware of.
As previously reported, there has also been a ton of speculation hinting that EJ DiMera will also be returning for a huge upcoming storyline. However, it's just speculation and there is no news as to whether or not James Scott will return to his role of EJ should the rumors pan out.
Will Sami and EJ be reunited?
No one can deny that Sami and EJ's chemistry was unbeatable and a reunion could be just what the popular NBC daytime soap needs to boost ratings in their favor over the next several weeks.
Over the past couple of years, "Days" writers definitely left fans questioning EJ's death -- especially after Sami Brady began discovering clues that she felt were from EJ revealing he was still alive.
The heartbreaking letter Sami Brady received after EJ's death left her with specific instructions of how to access his secret bank accounts, leading not only Sami to keep believing that EJ was still around, but "Days" fans in general.
If John Black, Stephano, Marlena, Hope, and numerous others can return from the dead on more than one occasion, then EJ and Sami deserve more time on this earth for their love affair to continue to grow.
Things are getting super heated for the younger circle also, as Ciara is inching closer to a dangerous situation with her new man, Wyatt, and the Claire and Theo/Ciara love triangle is getting ugly.
Now, for the older crowd, as we reported previously, it looks as if John and Marlena will also soon be reunited. Love is in the air this spring in Salem and there is something and someone for everybody!
