Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner formally filed for divorce after announcing their split in 2015. Since then, the ex-couple is often surrounded with rumors that they are already Dating their respective new partners. In fact, the 44-year-old actor is said to be back in the dating game, but a source slammed the reports and said that it is not really the case.
Ben not really dating
"Ben is not dating anyone seriously," an insider told E! News. "He and Jen are working on their relationship and have no ruled out dating in the future."
After they filed for divorce, the two will still co-parent their children -- Violet (11), Seraphina (8), and Samuel (5).
However, it looks like he has to leave their family home. The insider said that it is more likely that Ben is going to move out to “keep the kids together and close.”
The divorce
After two years of announcing their split, Jennifer and Ben finally filed for divorce. In the documents, they cited joint legal and physical custody of their kids. The petition and response were also filed together, thus it was coordinated.
Compared to other celebrity couples who got divorced, the “Daredevil” stars remain friends while co-parenting their three children. Another source told the same publication that their bond is actually still the same. As a matter of fact, they have been working hard on their relationship for the past few years.
But, the most important part of it is they are still co-parenting as they are trying their best to secure their kids’ future. A different insider told Page Six that the ex-couple has a strong mutual respect for each other that not every divorced pair has. To recall, when the news of their separation broke, they officially announced their split together in 2015 in a statement.
"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the proclamation started.
But, they still promised that they would move forward with love and friendship and a commitment to co-parenting their kids. They asked for privacy and respect during this difficult time. After that, Jennifer and Ben didn’t give any further details about their divorce.
Out for Easter
Meanwhile, the ex-couple was caught going to the Community United Methodist Church of Pacific Palisades on Sunday to attend an Easter mass. They were even seen happy together with all of their children.
