Never say never
This will be the second time that Alison Sweeney has returned to "Days of our Lives" since she exited the show back in 2014. Fans will recall that the actress brought Sami back to Salem for the show's 50th anniversary. Although her return in 2015 was only for a month, it was a pivotal storyline that Sweeney played as flawless as ever.
A month was not enough for fans, and rumors began circulating in the spring of 2016 that Sweeney might make another appearance in Salem. For her part, the mother of two has always made it clear that she loves her "Days" family and would return if the stars aligned properly and it worked for her schedule.
It looks like she is being true to her word.
Time away from Salem
Since her last visit to Salem, Alison Sweeney has been keeping herself very busy. Along with being a mother to 12-year old son Ben and 8-year old daughter Megan, the actress has kept busy appearing in a number of Hallmark made for television movies. She has also spent some time on another soap, ABC's "General Hospital," but she has strictly remained behind the scenes.
Fans of the NBC show "The Biggest Loser" will remember that she hosted the show for 13 seasons. Not long after the actress decided to exit "Days of Our Lives," it was announced that she would also be leaving her hosting duties on "The Biggest Loser."
