Have Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth secretly married? That is today's big question thanks to a new Instagram post from Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. The photo posted reveals Miley dressed in a white dress and looking very happy, it also comes along with a strange cryptic caption that has sparked the curiosity of thousands across social media.
Is there something fans should know?
Miley looks lovely in the picture, but a couple of things are a bit off. First, Miley in white? It is hard to imagine that even on her wedding day she would wear something so low-key and traditional.
Next, Billy Ray's caption, "I'm so happy...you are happy." It doesn't give us a whole lot to go on, does it?
Did wedding bells already ring for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth?
Secret, surprise weddings are not out of the ordinary, especially for celebrities who want a private ceremony, minus the media circus. Fans have been long waiting for Miley, 24, and Liam, 26, wedding news. But Miley being Miley, we just have to believe she would plan this crazy, over-the-top event. The picture has been described to look as if perhaps she may have taken it herself with her phone.
Miley Cyrus does look happy, almost in a dreamy state, dressed in white, eyes closed and hair blowing in the wind. So, as you can well imagine as soon as the post went up fans instantly began asking questions and posting comments, some of which Billy Ray even retweeted without answering, or offering any further clues about the post.
Interestingly enough, Hollywood Life reports that Miley has not checked in on Instagram since March 2nd, and Liam has not signed in since February 20th. Miley was spotted last weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Awards to support her sister Noah, but other than that the couple has been virtually radio silent for the past few weeks.
Are Miley and Liam secretly married? Who knows for sure, but something is up. Whether or not it is big news or just Billy Ray Cyrus' way of having a little fun, time will tell.
