The much-awaited appearance of Rihanna in bates motel” Season 5 as Marion Crane already happened and fans praised her for delivering more of what is expected. The said character is originally played by Janet Leigh in the 1960 classic Alfred Hitchcock movie, “Psycho.”

A lot assume that the two female artists will have the same take of playing Leigh’s character, but it is earlier revealed that they will be entirely different from each other. In fact, the 29-year-old star surprised everyone with her invaluable acting.

The difference of the classic and modern character

“She has enormous charisma,” the show’s executive producer Carlton Cuse told The Variety. By adding the classic character of Leigh is actually the producer’s original plan from the very start.

“It’s always been an idea to have ‘Bates Motel’ go through ‘Psycho’ in the last season like a tunnel, though it led to a different destination,” the show’s another executive producer Kerry Ehrin told the said publication. The television series’ producers often said that the two stories both have different paths.

Hence, the Crane in the movie “Psycho” is quite different from the role Rihanna is playing in “Bates Motel” Season 5. Cuse went on to explain that they had a long talk how the new character will be diverse from the original one.

It is, too, a challenge for them to bring Crane into the modern world.

The singer’s love for the television series

Meanwhile, aside from her prolific acting, the show’s producers also praised Rihanna for her work ethics on the set of “Bates Motel” Season 5. The “Work” hitmaker had to shoot 35 pages of script in just two days in one week and she perfectly delivered what she had been asked.

Cuse even admired the “Ocean’s Eight” star for being very committed and a hard worker for the show. She, too, has brought a complete quality by playing her role as Crane. The EP ended adding the former girlfriend of Chris Brown in the television series when he learned that she is an avid fan of the show.

She then approached the songwriter, offered her the role and she politely agreed. Hence, the “Diamonds” singer suspended her ongoing world tour for a week to give way to the TV series’ production.
