The Duggar family is expanding rapidly. As Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar say good-bye to the children they raised, they can only hope the rules they have given them to uphold will transfer into their lives as they begin raising children. Strict guidelines are put into place to ensure the modesty and safety of everyone around. The Duggar children have learned from early on that there are things they don't say and places they aren't allowed to visit.
Courting rules have been explained over and over again. Fans are familiar with the family's courting rules, especially since four siblings have already walked down the aisle.
No frontal hugs, no holding hands, and no kissing are all basic rules to follow. All of this is to be saved until marriage. Jessa Duggar Seewald and Ben Seewald were a little rebellious when it came to courting rules, but Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo took the cake here. They were very touchy from the beginning.
No beach vacations
The beach is completely off-limits. No one is allowed to swim at the beach or frequent it at all. Michelle Duggar believes it would be too hard for the boys to advert their eyes, leaving it a ground for temptation that could lead to sin. Their swimwear is incredibly modest, with the girls having to wear shorts and a t-shirt.
Music and dancing are also banned. They do allow their children to listen to gospel music, but dancing is still not allowed.
They believe that dancing leads to impure thoughts and the touching is too much. Rumors indicate the children are taught at a young age not to move or sway to music, which has been one of the biggest criticisms the family has faced regarding their rules.
Divorce and birth control
These two things are like the devil to the Duggar family.
According to the Hollywood Gossip, these are two of the more strict rules. Divorce is not allowed, even though by biblical standards Anna Duggar could have left Josh Duggar without having sinned. And as for birth control, the number of children in the family should leave no questions about that.
Fans respect and are in awe of the Duggar family and their strict rules for their children. It will be interesting to see how some of the married children enforce the rules in their families.
