The "Dancing with the Stars" Season 24 cast was officially announced on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, March 1 after weeks of speculation. Most of the rumors about who would be included were true after all. Now, viewers know for sure who will be on the biggest ballroom dance floor in America when the new season premieres on March 20 on ABC.
Stars and their partners
Kym Johnson, who has not competed since the spring of 2015 with her now-husband, Robert Herjavec, is returning even though she said she wouldn't compete again. Her partner is Mr.
T who starred in "Rocky III." Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles said previously if she ever was a star on "Dancing With The Stars" she would want Sasha Farber as her partner. Well, she got what she wanted.
New parents, Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are returning. Peta will be dancing with bachelor Nick Viall. Maks' partner is former "Glee" star and Beyoncé's backup dancer Heather Morris. Former Olympic ice skater Nancy Kerrigan is partnered with Artem Chigvintsev. Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei will dance with reigning champion Val Chmerkovskiy.
Bull rider and model Bonner Bolton will dance with Sharna Burgess who is returning for her eighth season. Sharna said perhaps this will be her season to win since she has never won before.
Pro Keo Motsepe is paired with Charo. Keo usually gets voted off quickly. Perhaps he will last a little longer this season with Charo. Ex-Jacksonville Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings will dance with Emma Slater.
Comedian Chris Kattan will be competing with Witney Carson. Baseball player David Ross will dance with Lindsay Arnold, and singer Erika Jayne is partnered with Gleb Savchenko.
Pros not returning
Fans will miss several pros who are not returning, including Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, Karina Smirnoff, and Tony Dovolani. Mark Ballas was rumored to return. His fans are disappointed that he will not return this season.
