"Flip or Flop" star Tarek El Moussa may be going through a nasty divorce with his wife, Christina, but at the end of the day, he will always love her. At least that's what he said in a recent interview.
'Flip or Flop' stars are learning to adjust
In an interview with People Magazine, Tarek el Moussa said that he was distressed that his divorce from his wife, Christina, was playing out in the press. However, he said that he and Christina were "committed" to working together as a unit, especially for the sake of their two children.
"She's the mother of my children," he said about her.
"I'll always love Christina."
In December 2016, Tarek and Christina announced their divorce. However, it was later revealed that they really broke up in May 2016, after a fight that led to Christina calling the police. Christina claimed that Tarek was brandishing a gun and threatening her with it; Tarek claimed he was taking it for self-defense purposes, because he was going for a walk in a wooded area where there were a lot of wild animals.
Tarek el Moussa went on to say that it was important for his two children with Christina to understand that even though their parents were no longer together, they were still a family. And for that reason, he had no desire to fight it out constantly with his soon-to-be ex-wife.
He said that parents who do that "really mess up their kids."
He also moved out of the Yorba Linda home he shared with Christina and their children, and moved to Newport Beach. He said that he and Christina share equal custody of the children, but that its been an "adjustment" for all involved.
Although Christina has been hooking up with their former contractor, Gary Anderson, Tarek said that he wasn't interested in getting involved in a romantic relationship as of yet.
However, if and when he decides to get into a relationship, he's pretty sure that he, his new girlfriend, Christina, her new boyfriend, and the kids will all spend the holidays together.
