It has been confirmed, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have reunited...as friends, for now, that is. The former husband and wife have recently reconnected and are now on "friendly" terms. This is something that fans thought they would never see happen considering the ugly circumstances surrounding their 2005 divorce.

Brad Pitt is reported to have recently reached out to his ex-wife in a time of need as a friendly shoulder to cry on during his nasty divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie.
Brad and Jen have been texting on the regular since last month after Pitt reached out to Aniston wishing her a happy birthday.

Us Weekly reports that a source close to Brad's situation reveals that Pitt "confided" in Jen, revealing that he was having a very difficult time dealing with his divorce from Jolie. The source also revealed that the former couple has been reminiscing about old times and that Jen's current husband Justin Theroux is cool with the two being friends.
This, however, is huge news considering that the two parted in a very ugly fashion after Jen found out that Brad had been cheating on her with Jolie. As fans remember, it was quite a media circus.
It is not known at this time just how Angelina Jolie is taking the news. Angelina recently stated that she considers Brad still as part of her family, but refuses to speak much more than that when it comes to their split.
That may have to do with the upcoming documentary coming out soon. As previously reported, a new documentary titled "Broken" The Incredible Story of Brad and Angelina." will be revealing some of Brad and Angie's biggest and juiciest secrets.
It will also be touching on Brad's divorce from Jen, revealing some hard facts that have never been publicized before.
Could this be the beginning of a reconciled romantic relationship? Well, not right now, but after all anything is possible. In celebrity relationship history couples such as Liz Taylor and Richard Burton and Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson are well known for playing the marriage/divorce rinse and repeat game. Maybe Brad and Jen will be next?
