“The Fast and the Furious” is one of those movie franchises that grows to incredible levels of acceptance and popularity all over the world quite fast, but the death of one of the main stars, actor Paul walker, who played one of the lead characters was making the future of the franchise uncertain. Vin Diesel mentioned that he wanted to honor Paul by having yet another movie that did not feature him, but it was what he would have wanted.

The cast

The cast for “The Fate Of The Furious” aka Fast & Furious 8 is basically the same as the cast for “Fast & Furious 7” with the only absent actor being Paul Walker.

Vin Diesel is coming back as Toretto, Dwayne Johnson is making a return as agent Hobs, Michelle Rodriguez is back as Letty, Tyrese Gibson is the always funny Roman Pearce, Kurt Russell is Frank petty, the covert ops leader, and Jason Statham is coming back as Deckard Shaw, the bad guy that was defeated in “Fast & Furious 7” and is back to play a different kind of antagonist this time around.

The latest addition to the series is Charlize Theron as Cipher, she is the criminal mind that is going to give the family hell.

The plot

“The Fast and The Furious” has always been built around family. The team has grown with each new movie, but the bond between all of the characters keeps growing stronger with each installment.

This time around, the plot indicates that Cipher is going to seduce Dominic and convince him to commit crimes that will force him to betray his family and he will be put to the test in ways that he never imagined before.

Conclusion

The movie is set to be released on April 14, 2017 in the US and worldwide releases will be out soon after.

This is expected to be bigger, badder, and meaner and faster than ever, which has become a trademark of the franchise. Each movie has to be more over the top than the last and that is exactly what the fans are expecting with “Fast & Furious 8” but hopefully the story will also be good enough to keep the interest in the saga alive.
