Rosie O'Donnell may be following in the footsteps of Melissa McCarthy who played White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on a recent episode of "Saturday Night Live." On Thursday, Rosie created quite a buzz on Twitter when she showed off a pic of herself looking an awful lot like President Trump's Chief Strategist, Steve Bannon. (See the photo below)

O'Donnell, 54, retweeted the photo that was created by a fan who wrote, "A @Rosie picture is worth a thousand words." She quickly replied, "Exactly" and used the Bannon/O'Donnell photo as her Twitter profile pic.

Is Rosie headed to "SNL"?

So, will Rosie O'Donnell appear as Bannon in a skit on "Saturday Night Live?" The actress and former "The View" co-host tweeted that she's "available — if called I will serve!" when asked if she would take the gig. Considering her not-so-friendly past with President Trump, giving her the role of Steve Bannon on SNL would be must-see TV.

She's been feuding with Trump for years, calling the president a "snake oil salesman" back in 2006 and he has not let up when it comes to bashing the actress and TV host, calling her "fat" and a "loser" on Twitter.

She went on to say that she would need a "few days" to prep for the role but she's ready to go after one of her followers said Rosie would "do a great impression" of Steve Bannon.

Although it appears that she's open to the idea, she stressed to her followers that as far as talks with NBC, nothing is definite.

Trump isn't happy

Last week, Bannon was portrayed as the Grim Reaper on "Saturday Night Live" and now fans are hoping Rosie will take over the role, something that will irk Trump to no end.

The President has already sent out negative tweets about the show since Alec Baldwin took on the role of Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign and he's apparently not too happy about Melissa McCarthy playing Sean Spicer either. Politico reports that the president was "irked" that Press Secretary Spicer was played by a woman and she made Spicer look "weak" in the skit.
