ABC isn't waiting until after Nick Viall hands out his final rose on "The Bachelor" to let fans know who the next "Bachelorette" is. Instead, the network has decided to make the announcement before the hometown dates episode, similar to the way they introduced Nick while "Bachelor in Paradise" was still airing.
So, what does Nick Viall think about the big announcement and who got the gig?
If you keep tabs on "The Bachelor" on Twitter, you may have already heard rumors about tonight's big reveal. Producer Mike Fleiss has been tweeting about the big announcement for days but he only noted that the "historic announcement" is not about Nick Viall.
If you can't wait to find out who will be handing out roses in May 2017, we've got the scoop on the girl who made a big impression on Nick and will undoubtedly make the 25 or more men who will soon compete for her final rose very happy.
Who is the next "Bachelorette"?
According to blogger Reality Steve, Jimmy Kimmel will announce contestant Rachel Lindsay as the next "Bachelorette" star during his show on Monday night.
There has been speculation that the 31-year-old lawyer could get the gig since she was given the first impression rose on the "Bachelor" premiere, so this shouldn't be a big shock to anyone.
However, some fans thought that she would go the distance and get engaged to Nick at the final rose ceremony but tonight's announcement will confirm what Reality Steve's spoilers revealed weeks ago — Vanessa Grimaldi gets the final rose, Raven Gates is the runner-up, and Nick sends Rachel Lindsay home after the Fantasy Suite dates.
What does Nick think?
It's not clear if Nick will appear on Jimmy Kimmel with the next "Bachelorette" star, but if it is indeed Rachel Lindsay, there is no doubt he will have only kinds words to say about her.
It's clear he has feelings for Rachel on the show, but the "Bachelor" was filmed back in the fall so he's had plenty of time to move on. And he's the one who chose to eliminate her, so his loss is going to be a big gain for men who apply to be on the show.
During filming, Nick told Entertainment Tonight that Rachel was one of the easiest girls to talk to and that he loves that she has a strong personality and a great smile."
