Jenelle Evans reportedly shared the news of Kailyn Lowry's pregnancy before she did. On February 23, Lowry took to her blog to officially confirm the rumors regarding her pregnancy, but before she did, Evans was seen speaking of the surprising news on her Twitter page. After being called out for coming forward with the baby news before Lowry's confirmation, Evans responded.

Last night, after a fan tweeted to the "Teen Mom 2" star, labeling her revelation "unfair" and "disrespectful" to Lowry, Evans explained that she was unaware that Lowry hadn't already confirmed the news.

As she told the fan, she thought the pregnancy had been confirmed "by everyone" earlier that day. "My bad," she said in a tweet that appears to have been deleted a short time later. "I just got done filming and I heard the news," she continued. "Didn't know she was hiding it."

Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry's relationship has been strained for years

Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry may be forever bonded by their ties to MTV, but when it comes to their relationship, they aren't close friends -- at all. In fact, the two women have been at odds numerous times in recent years. As fans may recall, Lowry openly called out Evans years ago for promoting articles about her and the rest of the "Teen Mom 2" cast.

Is Kailyn Lowry turning into Jenelle Evans 2.0?

Following the news of Lowry's pregnancy on February 23, fans flooded the reality star with backlash. In addition to people slamming the mother of two for having yet another "baby daddy," others pointed out that her sons would likely be negatively impacted by having to adjust to a new man in her life -- that may not be there permanently.

Lowry was also compared to her co-star, Evans, whose three children have different fathers, but Lowry chose to ignore the rumors and focus on the excitement of welcoming her third child.

To see more of Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry and their co-stars, Leah Messer and Chelsea Houska, tune into "Teen Mom 2" season 7B on Monday nights at 9 p.m. on MTV.
