Garth Brooks is known for giving expensive gifts to his fans. On Friday, February 24, he kept up the tradition of giving gifts while on his North American tour. During a stop in Edmonton, Alberta, he made a husband and wife very glad they attended his concert. They just so happened to be Brooks' 5 millionth fans to attend his world tour concert.
What Brooks gave the lucky couple
One car would have made the couple happy, but two vehicles made the couple very happy. Along with the Lexus SUV and Nissan truck, the fans received an armful of other gifts. The Canadian couple received a $5,000 Amazon shopping spree a $5,000 shopping spree at their local Edmonton mall, a trip for two to Las Vegas and plenty of Garth and Trisha Yearwood merchandise.
Last year's lucky fan
This is not the first time, Garth Brooks, 55, and his wife Trisha Yearwood, 52, were generous to a fan. In May 2016, they did the same thing for his 4 millionth fan. The concert attendee received a brand new red Corvette and a black Jeep Cherokee, along with a $5,000 Amazon shopping spree and a trip for four to Las Vegas.
The best gift of all was that Garth paid off her student loans.
Fans attend Brooks' concerts because they love his music. It would be extremely difficult to even try to be one of the lucky fans because the country singer brings in large crowds at most of his concerts. Back in the 1990s, he hit his milestone after touring 100 different cites, but this time he reached his milestone in just 60 cities during one of his nine sold out concerts.
Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood
Garth's wife, who is also a country singer, was part of the concert and the gift giving. They have been married for 12 years. Garth is a romantic who proposed to her on stage in front of 7,000 people on May 25, 2005 in Bakerfield, California.
Trisha accepted without hesitation. It is her third marriage and his second.
Garth is a two-time Grammy winner and has won 22 Country Music Awards along with many other awards. Trisha has three Grammy Awards along with many other awards. They work well on stage together, and they both believe in giving gifts to fans.
