It is with a heavy heart that the family of actor Bill Paxton reveal he has passed away at the age of 61. The actor was best known for his roles in “Aliens,” “Titanic,” and “Apollo 13.” Per the statement released by his family, the actor passed away after suffering from complications during a heart surgery.

According to The Guardian, Paxton was standing in the crowd when President John F Kennedy left his hotel room on very day of his assassination. Bill was just an eight-year-old child at the time. There is a museum in the state of Texas where pictures are on display featuring Paxton being held in the air of the crowd.

When Paxton was a little older, he went on to narrate a documentary about that very hard day in history.

His career

Bill Paxton’s first memorable role was in “The Terminator” back in 1984. As his acting career continued to gain momentum, he developed a strong relationship with a director named James Cameron. During an interview in 1998, Bill talked about how one of his aspirations was to develop a close working relationship with a director. He wanted to be one of those great actor and director teams people talked about like De Niro and Scorsese.

During the 90s, he also had the pleasure of being in a number of big hits including “Apollo 13,” “Twister,” and “Tombstone.”
