On Friday, February 17, 2017, famous South Indian actress Bhavana was abducted and raped by her ex-driver 'Pulsar Sunil' and his friends.

This incident has pulled the entire Indian film industry to a state of shock. Many celebrities including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Manju Warrier, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vishal, and Sidharth have extended their helping hands and support to Bhavana. The recent addition in this long list is Tamil heroine Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

The wake-up call for the entire women community

In the wake of this incident, Varalaxmi has revealed an incident of sexual harassment faced by her some weeks back.

The actress took her official social media handle to reveal the disgusting behavior of a Tv channel programming head. The Kollywood beauty also added that choosing acting as a profession is a personal choice, and it does not mean that actresses are available.

In the end, the star also asked the entire women community to raise their voices against these kinds of sexual exploitations. As per Varalaxmi, its the time to act now, and the entire women community should try to remove the word 'rape' from our society. She also added that women should try to bring these kinds of sexual predators in front of the law.

Manhunt for 'Pulsar Sunil' going on steadily

On the other hand, an intense manhunt is going on to nab "Pulsar Sunil" who is considered to be the prime suspect in this Case.

In the meantime, Sunil who is now in exile has submitted an anticipatory bail request on Ernakulam High Court through his lawyer.

Earlier, Manju Warrier, one of the most influential Malayalam actress told that the attack against Bhavana is a part of a criminal conspiracy and culprits should be brought under the law at the earliest.

Action Superstar Suresh Gopi MP lashed out against the abductors, and he told that effective measures would be taken to ensure the safety of the female actresses who travel in the night.

There are protests going on in Kerala and in other states too to arrest the culprits.
