South Indian stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya who have been in a relationship since 2009, got engaged on January 29, 2017, in a grand event at Hyderabad.
The event was blessed with the presence of the close friends and relatives of the couple. Several big stars in the industry including Mahesh Babu and Chiranjeevi too attended the ceremony.
Naga Chaitanya's father Akkineni Nagarjuna blessed the couple after the ceremony, and it was followed by a grand dinner.
On 2016, Naga Chaitanya had hinted that he will tie the knot with Samantha by the end of 2017.
As they are now engaged, fans and well-wishers of the stars will be now waiting for the finalization of the wedding date. The actor has also revealed that his marriage will happen only after the wedding of his brother, Akhil.

The film which was directed by Vikram Kumar marked the union of three generations in the Akkineni family, and as the movie got released, fans believed that Samantha would enter this famous family as the youngest daughter-in-law; finally the speculations have come true.

The marriage with Naga Chaitanya is not supposed to create any hindrance to the acting career of Samantha, as Naga has earlier revealed that he do not have any issues on Samantha continue pursuing her acting career.
Naga Chaitanya also added that Samantha is the first generation actress in her family, and she has achieved it with sheer hard work and determination.

Naga Chaitanya's previous movie to hit the screens was "Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo" and he is currently busy with the filming of "NC13".
According to sources, the wedding will take place this year end.
