Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry are teaming up to star in an animated film to be released in theaters nationwide on November 10, 2017 in time for next Christmas. The two well-known wealthy media personalities think they are on to a good thing to give viewers what they want to see. The animated movie "The Star" will be about the birth of Jesus.

Voices in animated film

"The Star" has three talkative camels traveling through the Middle East, along with three wise men in the desert on their way to become part of the Christmas story. Oprah Winfrey's voice will be that of Deborah, a camel.

Tyler Perry's voice is of another camel, Cyrus. Tracy Morgan will lend his voice to a third camel, Flexis. The humorous camels talk to each other about their expectations once they reach their destination.

Story of 'The Star'

The movie tells the story of a donkey named Bo, whose voice is that of Steven Yeun of "The Walking Dead." Bo and the other animals are guided by the star that leads them to where Jesus is. The entire group becomes a part of the greatest story ever told as viewers watch them and listen to their conversations.

Expectations of the film

Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry say that they are created a touching, educational, and useful film for both children and adults. Winfrey has been successful before by lending her voice to other movies.

The talk show star's voice was in the 2009 film "The Princess and The Frog" which grossed $267 million at the box office. Her voice was also in the 2007 "Bee Movie" which made $287 million in ticket sales. Winfrey is expecting "The Star" to have similar results.
