Kim Kardashian has removed her married last name of "West" from her Instagram page. Following weeks of divorce rumors, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star has added fuel to the rumors by making the odd move online with no explanation to her many fans and followers.
On January 3, Hollywood Life noticed the name change on Instagram and told its readers that the reality star and mother of two had been facing rumors of a possible split in the months since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. As the outlet revealed, Kardashian's Instagram name now reads, "Kim."
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly endured a rocky few months following not only Kardashian's robbery in October, but also West's hospitalization in November.
As fans will recall, the rapper suffered an emotional meltdown before the Thanksgiving holiday, and spent several days in the hospital.
Kim Kardashian wants to be a one-named celebrity
Following Kardashian's social media change, TMZ reportedly claimed that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star, who also shared a family video on Tuesday, only changed her name in an effort to rebrand herself as a one-named celebrity, such as Oprah or Prince. However, just moments after Kardashian removed West from her title, she returned to her accounts and reverted to her "three-name name."
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have had many recent disagreements
According to Hollywood Life, Kardashian and West have been feuding over their schedules, their home, their ongoing renovations and West's support of President-elect Donald Trump, whom he recently met with in New York City.
Although a source told the outlet that West loves his wife, the insider also said they are currently in a "rough spot" in their marriage.
As Kardashian and West continue to face rumors of a possible split, they have been spending time alone and enjoying time with their kids. They've also been spotted together a couple of times in recent weeks.
Kim Kardashian and her family are expected to return to "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" for a new season later this year, but because of the October robbery, there could be a change of plans.
