Hey, "Chicago Fire" peeps. We've got lots of new spoiler scoops to tell you for the upcoming episode 12 of season 5, as NBC was quite generous in their latest press release for this one. It turns out that we've got a vicious criminal out on the loose, who's looking to fulfill a vendetta desire against Casey and the rest of the firehouse squad! Elsewhere, some dude, claiming he's a pal of Severide's father, might turn out to be one hell of a shady character, and more!

Everyone's on high alert

"An Agent Of The Machine" is what the producers decided to go with as a title for this one.

It sounds like a pretty interesting title. Jumping into the plotline, we've got this targeting of the firehouse situation, in all caps, so that storyline is probably going to be where most of the attention is focused. It turns out that a very dangerous man is going to be left out to wander the streets after one of the firehouse team's previous incidents. And for some reason, this man is going to have a vendetta against Lt. Casey and the rest of Firehouse 51 crew, so he's going to target them for a big attack! They didn't say why this guy has it in for them, so we just know he's really pissed off about something, and is ready to go all ballistic on them!

A suspicious agenda

Next, we learn that some guest character, named Dennis Mack, is going to show up on the scene, claiming to be an old firefighter buddy of Severide's father.

He's going to want to shadow the crew's every move. However, it's also revealed that he might have some ulterior motives other than what he's letting on. In other words, he's probably shady as hell. There was no additional intel about what his motives might be, so it'll be intriguing to see what comes out of that situation.

Some ex-wife madness

Elsewhere, we find out that Antonio's ex-wife, Laura, is just going to show up out of nowhere, and it will definitely cause some friction to form between he and Sylvie. They didn't mention just how much damage this little pop-up from the ex-wifey is going to cause, but we can be sure that we're going to get some pretty good drama out of it, so it'll be interesting to see how those scenes play out.

Dawson gets a gift

Lastly, we've got a situation that involves Casey and Dawson. It turns out that Casey is going to have a present waiting for Dawson, so that sounds sweet, I guess. They didn't give any details about what this present might be, so we're just going to have to wait and see what that turns out to be when the episode airs. Speaking of that, we do have confirmation from the press release that they are actually going to skip next week, so we won't be seeing this episode until Tuesday night, February 7th, 2017 at 9pm central time, so be sure to make note of that for next week, and stay tuned.
