It isn't uncommon for soap opera stars to meet the love of their lives on the set. Working so closely together, friendships are formed and bonds are made. Those relationships can find their way off the set and into the actor's personal lives.
Nicole and Dr. Dan
Adrienne Zucker (Nicole) was married to Kyle Lowder (the former Brady Black). The marriage ended in March of 2014 but she found love on the set once again. Shawn Christian (Daniel Jonas) was her-on camera fiance and real life boyfriend. He left the show when he was killed in an auto accident just before their Valentine's wedding.
Joey and Jade
A current storyline on "Days Of Our Lives" has James Lastovic (Joey Johnson) dating Paige Searcy (Jade). While it isn't confirmed they are a real-life couple, the banter between the two on social media leads to that conclusion.
JJ and Paige
True O'Brien (Paige Larson) and Casey Moss (JJ Deveraux) were an adorable on-screen couple. Paige left the show when she fell victim to the necktie killer. The two were already involved in real life at that time and according to Soap Opera News they still are.
Derrick and Melanie
Last, but far from least, we have Spencer Neville (Derrick) dating Molly Burnett (Melanie Jonas). Though Molly is no longer on the show, they are another "Days of Our Lives" connection.
Melanie's exit from the show left it open so that she could some day return.
Doug and Julie Williams
The all-time super couple of the hit soap opera is Bill Hayes (Doug Williams) and Susan Seaforth-Hayes (Julie Williams). They met on the set and fell in love. The head writer at the time was Bill Bell. He saw the electricity between them and began to write storylines for the couple, making them on-screen lovers before they became so in real life.
The happy couple married in 1974 and still make appearances on the set from time to time.
The writers of "Days of Our Lives" have displayed some great matchmaking skills. All but one of the real-life couples were a couple on the set. Who will be the next real-life couple from the show?
