Lauryn Hill responded to her upset fans with an utmost graceful apology. As seen in her Facebook post, two days after the delayed concert, she said “I have nothing but love and appreciation for the fans of Atlanta, and regret not being able to give you a full show.” The fans didn’t take it well because they are mocking the RnB singer over her status update that has become trending news online.
Hill Arrives Two Hours Late for Show
The “Doo Woop (That Thing) singer was set to performat Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta on May 6, Friday, at 8:00 pm.
But she arrived after two hours of the start of the show because of an untoward sequence of events that took place. According to her, her driver got lost and had a hard time getting her to the venue. She also said that she had difficulty in aligning her energy with time, “Because I care so deeply about the artistic process, I scrutinize, have perfectionist tendencies, and want space made for spontaneity, which is not an easy process, with the many moving parts on the road.” As stated in Lauryn Hill’s Facebook post.
Not the First Time Lauryn Hill Has Kept Concert Goers Waiting
The fans tried to understand this kind of situation because of the hectic schedule as a singer, but this is not the only time former Fugees member had shown up late for a concert.
In 2014, two years before this incident, she kept the London crowd waiting for 90 minutes.
Adding Insult to Injury
What added to the fans to outrage is that she only performed for 40 minutes, not enough for what they paid for according to one Twitter user. The reason behind her short performance was because the venue had a noise curfew of 11:00 PM, making it impossible for her to finish all her songs.
The authorities cut her microphone on the dot. Even though such action was done the 40-year old, somehow still empathetic singer stayed with the audience.

She is an amazing singer. She has a wide genre of music such as Reggae, Soul, Hip Hop and Folk. So even though she had dismayed her fans with her tardy attitude her fans still love Lauryn Hill.
