The latest episode of Game of Thrones Season 7 had tons of fans on the edge of their seats in both excitement, joy, and fear at the very end of the epic battle between the Lannister army and Daenerys Targaryen. This very well could be one of the best scenes in the entire series and the reason for this being one of my favorite episodes in the entire series.

The massive scale of the fight coupled with Daenerys’s dragon Drogon coming down to reign literal fire on the enemy was a delight to see. The battle comes to a closing when Drogon destroys the giant crossbow that wounded him and Jaime Lannister being saved by the dragon’s fire breath by what appears to be Bronn of all people.

Unfortunately for fans of Jaime Lannister’s character, Bronn pushed Jaime into a body of water and due to his armor is shown at the end of the episode sinking to his demise. This has led to the entire community speculating and theorizing about one question.

Is Jaime Lannister dead or alive?

Now if you have read the book then I’m sure you will already know the answer to this question, but for those who haven’t studied to nerd encyclopedia, the answer is kind of murky.

Since Jaime isn’t shown to be completely dead, there is still a chance he could pull through this tough situation. This wouldn’t be the first time a character in Game of Thrones was presumed dead and managed to survive just look at the Hound.

Despite this, the predicament Jaime is in is one that can very easily lead to his untimely death

Jaime’s armor is very heavy, and the chances of him being able to swim back up the surface are practically zero. In fact, an actual armorer chipped his intellect into this question and came up with the conclusion that Jaime would sink and drown.

Although Jaime’s armor is primarily made of leather, that weight is still quite heavy and wouldn’t help save him from a grave under water.

Jaime Lannister is going to drown in his own suit of armor.

The only chance Jaime has to survive the Jaws Of Death is for someone like Bronn to come in the water and save him, but Bronn would have to be a really good swimmer to Pull Jaime up wearing all that heavy armor.

Right now Jaime’s chances of survival are extremely low which has me worried that this will be the end of Cerci’s favorite sibling.

I understand this show is still fiction and maybe Jaime could come back from the dead the same way Jon Snow did which is the best ray of hope fans have for Jaime Lannister. Until then it looks like I’m going to have to say Sayonara to Jaime. Rest in Peace.
