Earlier this week, Karen Pence also placed the bee sanctuary on display at the White House. Her intentions were to increase awareness regarding a decrease in the management of their colonies and how it negatively impacts agricultural productions in the United States. She stated that supervised honey bee settlements incorporate a minimum of $15 billion per year in crop value. The colonies do this by growing yields and ensuring top-quality harvests.
