Ivanka Trump has upset a lot of people with her recent Tweet about popsicles. You wouldn't think that would be a big deal at all, but people hold her to a very high standard, and she has upset them by talking about champagne popsicles on Memorial Day. People expect the president's daughter to be more respectful than she was with her latest tweet. So far, Ivanka hasn't issued an apology or said anything about it either.
What is the deal with this tweet?
It was actually on her "Team Ivanka" business account. More than likely, someone else even sent it out and not Ivanka herself.
The tweet just said, "Make champagne popsicles this #MemorialDay" along with a link that sends you to a site about what to do on Memorial Day. This is on Ivanka's site and talks about BBQs, picnics and other celebration things. This was a post about having a fun weekend and not about what this Memorial Day is really about at all.
Ivanka Trump isn't the first person to ever tweet about alcohol on this holiday weekend, but she has a lot of people upset about it. Some people do realize that it is a brand tweet and not Ivanka herself, but the responses to her are explaining how she should know that Memorial Day is about way more than just drinking.
What about her personal account?
On Ivanka Trump's personal account, things are totally different.
At first, she didn't say anything, but about two hours ago she posted a tweet. It says, "Today we honor the men & women in our armed forces who have lost their lives to protect our freedom. Thank you for your service #Memorial Day." She was sending out the right message from her personal account; it was just her business account that had people upset.
She didn't do this tweet until about twenty hours later than the popsicle one, so some people thought she would never address the real reason for the holiday, but she did.
So far, this tweet is still up on Ivanka Trump's business account and she hasn't added another tweet about Memorial Day. She has upset a lot of people with this tweet, but at some point she may decide to add something else to make them a little bit happier, but for now, Ivanka just has people mad at her and isn't doing anything to fix it.
