Chicago-bred rapper, Chancelor Bennett, popularly called by his stage name, Chance, in a news conference on Monday, announced that he would be donating the sum of $1 million to the Chicago Public School system. This appears to be his own way of giving back to the society.

Chance has been a strong advocate for the Chicago schoolchildren who have been marginalized in a way. It was gathered that the Chicago school children suffered from the states discriminatory system of funding. He tagged this as a ''call to action'' and implored other well-meaning Americans to follow suit.
At a press conference Chance was quoted saying, "Today, I'm proud to announce that I am donating $1 million to CPS to support arts and enrichment programming,"
On Monday, the three-time Grammy award winning rapper revealed that he spoke with the governor on the phone over the weekend, but their conversation yielded no fruit.
Speaking on the steps the governor has taken on the phase of this issue, Chance said it was Rauner's responsibility to ensure children of Chicago are given standard education.

Meanwhile, Chance's generosity has been receiving attention in high places. Social media has gone ablaze as he has been applauded for his benevolence. Many people have started throwing out support for his call to action. His generous donation has attracted praise from the Former First Lady Michelle Obama, who called him “an example of the power of arts education,”
Civil rights activist, Deray Mckesson, also commended the ''No problem'' rapper. He said that Chance’s commitment to his hometown was the way to go and that he was using his platform serve as a model for other influencers.
His fellow hip-hop artist, T.I.also noted that Chance's kind gesture is exemplary. He pointed out that we could all learn a thing or two from Chance.
