The British Royal family is accustomed to following a standard procedure for announcing the arrival of a new member. In the case of Prince William and his wife Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, the announcement of the birth of their children was made from the hospital steps in the presence of photographers and TV crews. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do not subscribe to such ideas. They have decided to maintain a veil of secrecy on the new arrival and will make the news public only when they feel the time is right. This will be a big blow to their millions of fans not only in Britain but also all over the world who must have geared up to celebrate.

ABC AU quotes Kensington Palace officials as saying that the Royal couple looks forward to sharing the good news only after they have celebrated the occasion in private as a family. The statement from the Palace says, "Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private."

Harry and Meghan want freedom

The royal couple love to do things in their own way and they have proved it time and again.

She is an American actress and Harry, a member of the British royal family who saw action in Afghanistan as a fighter pilot. He also founded the Invictus Games meant to encourage disabled war veterans and it was in the 2017 games Meghan came into public view for the first time. They met through a common friend and married after a few months of romance.

Both of them had seen the world from different perspectives and Meghan’s entry into Harry’s life changed his outlook. She is now an expectant mother and the two of them want to bring up their baby in their way.

ABC AU says Prince Harry is sixth in the line of succession, hence has more leeway compared to his elder brother Prince William who is the future king, Obviously, Harry can break away from traditions but not William.

Incidentally, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not tried to learn the gender of Baby Sussex. Their popularity shot sky high after they opened an Instagram account and they have requested people to donate to charities instead of sending them baby gifts. They have identified some of the charities they have in mind.

Meghan appointed her own delivery team

According to New Zealand Herald, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child to arrive in late April or early May. They got married in Windsor Castle in May last year and Meghan has apparently decided to have her own delivery team, led by a female doctor. She does not want the "men in suits" to deliver her baby. Moreover, the royal couple will keep the birth of Baby Sussex private until they celebrate the occasion as a family. They have received goodwill messages from across the world.
