Our lives are not easy, for the greatness of our well-being is forged by the hard times and circumstances that we are regularly put through. We all know how the old saying goes, those calm seas never made a skilled sailor. Our true character is not meant to be spent sitting in silence, it is meant to be exploited and utilized to the utmost of our capabilities. There is no mistake in any problem or setback in which we endure. There are a purpose and meaning behind everything. It is up to us to determine what we get from the experience, do we grow, or do we stay the same?

Is it meant to make us better or break us down?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, we all will always have problems in our lives. We cannot be discouraged by this fact. Merely coming to peace with this will give us more control in our lives, for the problem itself is not the problem, it is how we manage and perceive it. Everything that happens in our lives is really about 10 percent what actually happens to us, and 90 percent how we react to it. Do we react to current situations emotionally or logically? This will determine our overall well-being and quality of life.

Problems in our lives can be as big or small as we want them to be. Our happiness doesn't lie in the absence of them, it lies in our ability to cope with them.

We can sometimes make the mistake of thinking that our problems are a lot bigger than they may seem, which can lead us to more stress than we wish to bear. There is an old rule, if you don't think it will matter in five years, don't spend more than five minutes being upset by it. Do not waste time and sacrifice good times being concerned about something that won't negatively affect your years to come.

How to handle them

Now, I'm not perfect, I have my problems as well, but I believe the solution can be as simple as if you can't accept it, change it, if you can't change it, leave it. Never overthink things, for you will only create problems that never existed. Our lives are far too short to be concerned over things that will not eventually lead to our happiness and the happiness of others.

Deal with your problems before they deal with your happiness. Always remember this is your life, and that you are always the one in control. Never allow anyone or anything to rob you of your well-being. You owe it to yourselves to simplify your lives as much as possible and give yourselves the most significant and most fulfilling lives in which you deserve.
