There is one thing that we often seek in our Lives, and that is our peace. There will always be ups and downs and highs and lows. The level of joy or sorrow, in our lives, lies in our ability to manage the ups and downs. We can never let the highs get too high, allowing us to become comfortable, nor can we allow the lows to become too low putting us into despair. The lows in our lives, whether we realize it or not, are some of the most powerful times of our lives.
About suffering, Helen Keller once said, "We could never learn to be brave and patient if there were only joy in the world."
What is our biggest problem?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, we will always have problems. We cannot be discouraged this. Merely coming to peace with this will give us more control in our lives, for the Problem itself is not the problem, it is how we manage and perceive it. Problems in our lives can be as big or as small as we want them to be. Suffering can serve to lift us up. It does not need to drag us under.
Our happiness doesn't lie in the absence of suffering.
It lies in our ability to cope with it. We can sometimes make the mistake of thinking that our problems are a lot bigger than they may seem, which can lead us to more stress than we wish to bear. There is a good rule, if you don't think it will matter in five years, don't spend more than five minutes being upset about it. Do not waste time and sacrifice any of your life being concerned over something that will negatively affect your future.
How to fix it
Now, I'm not perfect. I have my problems as well, but I believe the solution can be as simple as changing what you can change and letting go of what you cannot. There are always things that we should take into consideration in our lives that typically go hand in hand.
We must try to never overthink things or take things personally, for we will only create problems where none previously existed. If we take things personally, it will typically lead us to overthink them. We'll always need to be able to let go of what cannot be changed.
Our lives are far too short to be concerned over things that will not eventually lead to our happiness and the happiness of others. We must deal with our problems before they sour our happiness. We should always remember - this is our life, and we are always the ones in control of it. We can never let anyone rob us of our peace of mind. We owe it to ourselves to simplify our lives as much as possible and give ourselves the Greatest and most fulfilling lives we deserve.
