Thanks to the popularity of "Fortnite Battle Royale," Epic Games has become bigger than ever. The video game developer has recently launched the Epic Games Store where other game creators can publish their games and make them available to PC players. So far, a few video games have even become exclusive to this store, and it will be interesting to see how big the Epic Games Store will become in the future.
While it's amazing that "Fortnite" has become so huge, its popularity has also brought some major issues the game developer has to deal with.
Account security is one of the biggest problems as there is a black market for them and a lot of players have lost their accounts which have later been sold to someone else. To prevent this, the "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer has released the two-factor authentication system for the game, and players who use this security method will be rewarded.
Free in-game store credit
Epic Games has recently revealed that "Fortnite Battle Royale" players who use the two-factor authentication protection will be rewarded $10 credit to use in the game store. This was done on accident, and the video game creator has released the announcement shortly after it went live. According to the company, the store is not 100 percent ready yet, which is why the announcement has been removed.
The game developer has posted the announcement in the "Fortnite Battle Royale" news feed and it was seen by thousands of players before it was removed. Data miner Lucas7yoshi has taken the screenshot of the announcement and posted it on his Twitter, showing other players what they missed.

"The Epic Games Megasale is happening right now!
Sign up for 2FA in order to get $10 to spend in the store," is what was posted in the announcement. Unfortunately, the "Fortnite Battle Royale" creator has quickly removed the message and posted a tweet about it.
Whoops! An MOTD snuck out about a sale. There is an Epic Games store sale on games in the works, but it hasn't launched yet. Stay tuned to @EpicGames for details in a few days.

Good thing is that this promotion will eventually happen and players will receive an update in a few days.
At the moment, it is unknown if this $10 credit will only be used in the Epic Games Store or if players will be able to use it in "Fortnite Battle Royale." However, players will definitely like it since it's a free gift that can be obtained in a few simple steps.
How to enable 2FA?
To enable two-factor authentication, players have to go to epicgames.com and change their security settings. By enabling 2FA, they will receive e-mails with special login codes after entering their login details, which should prevent accounts from getting hacked. Epic Games has already rewarded "Fortnite" players for using 2FA by giving them free Boogiedown emote to use in the PvP mode.
