Epic Games has made "Fortnite Battle Royale" much more fun with a variety of limited-time game modes that have been released so far. Besides the three regular playlists (solo, duos, and squads), players have had a chance to play some unique modes that have custom rules and settings. There have also been some big-team modes, including the 50v50 mode, where all players had to work together in order to earn the Victory Royale.
While most limited-time game modes return to the game, some of them have only appeared once or twice. The Infinity Gauntlet mode is one of the rarest LTM's in "Fortnite Battle Royale" as players only had one chance to play it.
The mode, which was originally released on May 8, 2018, could come back to "Fortnite Battle Royale." Considering that a new movie that features Thanos is just around the corner, we might see this character return to the game very soon.
The mode summary
The Infinity Gauntlet limited-time game mode was special and unique. It was used as a part of the "Avengers: Infinity War" movie promotion, and "Fortnite Battle Royale" players enjoyed it. While this was a solo mode, it required players to work together to take Thanos down and get a victory. There was one winner at the end, but going one-versus-one against Thanos was extremely difficult.
Players would turn into Thanos after obtaining the Infinity Gauntlet either at the start of the match or by taking Thanos down and getting the gauntlet that he drops to the ground.
Thanos originally had 700 health and 300 shield, which was changed to 800 health and 200 shield in the day one hotfix. A few days later, the health of the villain was reduced to 500 hit points. Considering that only his shield regenerated, this was a huge nerf.
Only Rare or better weapons were available in this mode. On the other side, Thanos had four unique abilities and he would take no fall damage.
However, he also was not able to build or use any other items in the game.
The return of the mode
"Fortnite Battle Royale" data miner who uses SkinTrackerCom name on Twitter has recently discovered some game files which indicate the return of the Thanos mode to the game. There are new messages on the elimination feed, with one of them being “yielded to the <Sarcasm> POWER of Thanos.” There were unique messages on the feed the first time this mode was out, and the game developer definitely wouldn't be releasing them for anything.

There are less than two weeks until the release of "Avengers: Endgame" as it comes out in late April. Considering that Epic Games released the Infinity Gauntlet mode around two weeks after the release of "Avengers: Infinity War," we can expect it to come back within a month.
