Blizzard is preparing for their next major update for its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft (WoW). The upcoming Battle for Azeroth’s patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara is slated for release next week. The latest update will be made available first to beta testers on PTR (Public Test Realm) servers next week.
The upcoming content patch has already been mentioned by Blizzard in their previous event. Last week, in a live stream, Blizzard senior designer Jeremy Feasel talked about the latest content patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara.
The senior game designer gave a more detailed breakdown of the new features, contents, and improvements that the new update will bring to the game.
What the new update will bring to WoW
According to Blizzard, the new Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara is the latest content patch in the action-packed World of Warcraft. This latest content patch is expected to bring new customizable mount equipment, new zones, a new raid, a new dungeon, new Island Expeditions, an update to the Heart of Azeroth, and the ability to unlock flying skills. The update will bring two new zones to the game, the Mechagon, and Nazjatar. It will also bring a new raid, which will be known as Azshara’s Eternal Palace, as well as the new Operation Dungeon.
One of the most exciting and interesting features in the upcoming patch content is the new customizable mount equipment. Blizzard has decided to add the mount equipment to help players who felt being forced into using the Water Strider mounts.
Blizzard has not yet confirmed the exact number of mount abilities that will exist in the latest update, but the company detailed three important features.
These include the Inflatable Mount Shoes, which allows the player’s mount to walk on water. The Saddlechute, which prevent players from taking damages when jumping or falling from high places, and the Comfortable Rider’s Barding, which prevent players from being dazed by its enemies while mounted.
Other important features and additions coming in the latest update include a new Heart of Azeroth mechanics, the Tauren, and Gnome Heritage Armor quests, new PvP Robodrome Arena, Season 3 PvP, revamped Brewfest, War Mode new content, new missions, and mechanics, Heroic battle for Stromgrade, new Islands (Crestfall and Snowblossom Village), and more.
Players will also experience the new pets, including the mechanical gnomebot pet with interchangeable heads, in this latest update. Blizzard also brings back Ashran as an Epic Background.
