"Fortnite Battle Royale" has had a huge impact on pop culture. The video game, which now has over 250 million registered players, has managed to attract different kinds of people. Beside casual gamers who enjoy playing video games in their free game and very serious players who are competitive, there are a lot of people who got into video gaming thanks to "Fortnite." This is a big reason why the game has broken numerous records and is still the most popular battle royale game in the world.
Epic Games' video game has become so popular that it was used to promote "Avengers: Infinity War" in 2018.
"Fortnite Battle Royale" had a special limited-time game mode called The Infinity Gauntlet, and it featured Thanos, the movie villain. It appears that the video game and the movie franchise will once again partner up as the director of the video gaming company has hinted at it.
Another Fortnite-Avengers collaboration
"Avengers: Endgame" is scheduled to be released in late April, which is less than two weeks from now. Last year, Epic Games released the special limited-time game mode around two weeks after "Avengers: Infinity War" came out, which means that we could expect the collaboration between the companies to start very soon.
Data miners have recently found some more files which indicate the return of the Infinity Gauntlet mode to "Fortnite Battle Royale." These files are about new elimination feed messages which include Thanos, which means that we could soon see this character return to the popular video game.
Considering that the limited-time game mode was extremely popular among "Fortnite" players, it would make a lot of sense for Epic Games to bring it back.
However, there is a good chance that the movie promotion will bring more things to "Fortnite Battle Royale" this time. Many players want to see "Avengers" skins in the game, and Epic Games may make it happen this year.
Season 4 of the popular video game included some superhero skins, such as Carbide and Omega, so the video game developer could take skins to the next level.
Donald Mustard's hint
Donald Mustard, Creative Director of Epic Games, has recently hinted at another "Avengers" collaboration. The director has hinted at a lot of other things before, including in-game events that have had a huge impact on the game.
Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man in the upcoming movie, was recently spotted wearing a "Fortnite" shirt. Mustard posted this picture on his private Twitter account, saying the following, "Looking good, @RobertDowneyJr. See you soon! #teamdowney"
At this point, we are just waiting for Epic Games to confirm the collaboration and we are hoping that we will get more than just a limited-time game mode out of it!
