Epic Games released a huge update for "Fortnite Battle Royale" on Tuesday, March 12. The v8.10 patch went live at 5 AM and it has brought a lot of improvements to the popular video game. In addition to this, the video game developer has added many new files to the game data, and thanks to data miners, we now know what things we will get in the future. One of those things will be the return of the Getaway limited-time game mode and special challenges that come with it.
This will only be the second time that the Getaway LTM comes out. Players are expecting Epic Games to release the Wildcard skin to the "Fortnite Battle Royale" Item Shop, and there will be plenty of other cosmetic items players will be able to earn by completing the upcoming challenges.
For the first time, the llama back bling will be available as a cosmetic item, and it will be relatively easy to obtain it.
New challenges
The Getaway limited-time game mode was first introduced with the v5.40 patch. Epic Games has added the Grappler with this patch and released the special game mode which included this item. This game mode was unique since its objective was different from any other mode. In addition to this, there were four different winners in the mode, which made things even more interesting. Furthermore, wins and elimination stats count in this mode.
The v8.10 patch has added the Baller, which is a one-player vehicle with a Grappler on it. The video game developer has announced that the Getaway LTM is going to come back soon, and data miners have leaked challenges which will be added with this mode.
Once again, players will be able to earn free cosmetic items by completing these challenges:
- Complete the Getaway Challenges (2)
- Win a match of The Getaway (1)
- Win matches of The Getaway (3)
- Win matches of The Getaway (5)
- Use the Grappler in different matches of The Getaway (5)
- Deal damage to Jewel carrying opponents (200)
- Pick up a Jewel in different matched of The Getaway (3)
Getaway rewards
By completing two Getaway challenges, players will be rewarded with the Crowbar pickaxe.
Winning matches of this limited-time game mode rewards players with the llama back bling in different colors: green, red, and white. Using a Grappler in the LTM will unlock the special loading screen, while players who deal 200 damage to Jewel carrying opponents will get a spray. Finally, picking up the jewel in three different matches unlocks a skydiving trail reward.
