Epic Games has been constantly updated the "Fortnite Battle Royale" map since the very first season of the popular video game. Besides the major changes, that each season has brought to the island, there have also been numerous smaller map changes the game developer has released to the game. The in-game island has been drastically modified through different events, and this is something that will keep happening in the future.
The ever-changing map is one of the unique features of "Fortnite Battle Royale." Instead of releasing a whole new map, the video game creator has decided to simply make modifications to the original map, which turned out to be a fantastic idea.
The v8.20 patch has revealed some details about future in-game events, and it turns out that Dusty Divot will once again be affected by an event.
Another Dusty Divot event will come to the game
Epic Games released its first big "Fortnite Battle Royale" event just before Season 4 started. Meteors were falling out of the sky, and it all resulted in the destruction of Dusty Depot. A giant hole appeared in this area, and it was renamed to Dusty Divot. The divot had Hop Rocks in it, which were a major feature of Season 4, and was the place where The Visitor, the special Season 4 Battle Pass skin, was found for the first time.
Dusty Divot was getting bi-weekly changes during the fourth season, and it looks much different now than it looked a few months ago.
However, it appears that this area will once again get a huge change, and players can't wait for it! Even though this point of interest played a major part in Season 4, it hasn't received many changes in the past few seasons, so another change is overdue.
2 new HLODs for a Lab POI, looks like Dusty Divot? I'm thinking it has something to do with the Dopey event pic.twitter.com/L5NG6Km8hw

As you can see in the tweet above, data miner s1l has found the files which show new objects in Dusty Divot.
It appears that these objects have something to do with the volcano eruption event, which was also found in the game data. Many "Fortnite Battle Royale" players predict that the volcano will erupt and fill the divot with lava, which makes a lot of sense.
The event release
At the moment, it is unknown when Epic Games will release the volcano eruption event.
Considering that we are still in the first half of the season, it is very unlikely that the event will happen soon. The "Fortnite" developer has released most in-game events in the last two or three weeks of previous seasons, so we can expect the same timing for the upcoming event.
