"Fortnite Battle Royale" is currently in its seventh season and the video game has come a long way since its release in September 2017. Since season 2, Epic Games has implemented the Battle Pass, which is the system that rewards players for leveling up in a season. There have been six Battle Passes so far, and the game developer has made it clear that all Battle Pass rewards are unique and players will not be able to earn them after a season ends.
Season 1 was the only season that did not have a Battle Pass, and it appears that its items will return to "Fortnite Battle Royale." Even though these items are exclusive, Epic Games has warned players that they may return at a later date. This season did not have a lot of rewards and it had a completely different system of unlocking them, but some items, such as Renegade Raider, are very valuable.
Season 1 rewards
Epic Games released the first season of "Fortnite Battle Royale" with the patch v1.8, and its seasonal store in the patch v1.8.2. The season started on October 25, 2017, and it ended on December 13.
This was the first time "Fortnite" players received player progression and rewards.
Season 1 only had six cosmetic items as rewards. Reaching level 5 unlocked Aerial Assault One glider players were able to purchase for 500 V-Bucks. Reaching level 15 unlocked Aerial Assault Trooper skin for 1,200 V-Bucks. Level 20 and 35 had the rarest "Fortnite Battle Royale" cosmetic items. Players were able to purchase Renegade Raider, currently the rarest skin in the game, for 1,200 V-Bucks at level 20. The final reward was Raider's Revenge harvesting tool which cost 1,500 V-Bucks.
In addition to these rewards, players were able to earn an exclusive banner at level 10, and Mako glider at level 25. The glider had been released to the item shop a few months ago, but Epic Games said it was an accidental mistake.
Potential return
Reddit user StellarLime911 has gone through the patch notes and noticed an interesting thing about the first season. "These rewards will no longer be available at the end of the Season, but may return at a later date! Get ‘em while you can," is what Epic Games posted in it. There is a good chance that these items come back, especially considering that this move would be very profitable for the video game developer.
After all, everyone would like to have the Renegade Raider skin, and Epic Games could make millions from this skin alone, so it would make a lot of sense to return it.
